“Atlanta Housewife” Kandi Burruss‘ fiance Ashley Jewell (AJ) was killed while at The Body Tap gentlemen’s club in Atlanta.

Burruss’ publicist, Lisa Nelson, confirmed to WSBTV.com reporter Brian Johnson that the incident has left the Atlanta housewife stunned and speechless. Nelson, who represented Burruss during the taping of the show, told Johnson that the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time.

DJ AM FOUND DEAD

Adam Goldstein, known to most as his stage name of DJ AM, was found dead in his bed on Friday in New York City, TMZ is reporting. He was 36 years old. According to the report, drug paraphernalia was allegedly found at the scene and Goldstein hadn't been seen or heard from in several days.

A friend checking on Goldstein eventually called police, and they broke down the door and found his body.

Jennifer Hudson reportedly gave birth to a baby boy on Monday night. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Daniel Otunga, Jr., named after the Oscar-winning actress/ singer's fiance, came in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces.

Hudson has not publicly announced her pregnancy and, when reached for comment on the reported birth on Tuesday (August 11), a representative for her label said he, too, could not confirm the pregnancy or birth. Rumors began to circulate that she was expecting earlier this year when she appeared to be showing on her inaugural tour of the U.S.

As part of the plea deal struck by Chris Brown on Monday (June 22), the singer was issued a “stay away” order by Judge Patricia Schnegg that requires the singer to avoid his former girlfriend for the next five years, according to Rihanna’s attorney

Etra said the order was issued for the duration of Brown’s five-year probation, although the judge said she would reconsider the issue when Brown is sentenced in August.

Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault charges and will be sentenced to up to 180 days of community service in Virginia. Had he gone to trial, Brown could have faced up to four years and eight months in prison. Brown must also enroll in domestic-abuse courses

Jacki O of Jack Move Entertainment was booked to appear as special guest at Level 3 in Tampa, Florida. While attending the event as special guest, Jacki O was asked to vacate the venue due to Level 3's management team. Apparently while at the venue,an argument took place with one of the venue's bartenders while ordering bottles. Jacki-O was immediately asked to leave when she and her entourage was accused of pulling out weapons.

Per Jacki O, " My team is licensed to carry concealed weapons in any case. Jack Move Entertainment and its security representatives made NO ATTEMPTS on PULLING OUT any weapons. We had a problem, we addressed the problem. Unfortunately, some club bartenders have a tendency of assuming that when some customers are partying, they are not aware of their cash transactions."

No charges were made on anyone that was involved in the altercation.

Exodus Tyson was playing around a treadmill in the family home in Phoenix and the time of the tragic accident.

Her 7-year-old brother found Exodus alive, but with the cord around her neck. At the time, her mother was cleaning in a separate part of the house. The brother immediately alerted the mother who alerted emergency services.

Kendra Nyetta Smalls, 21, of West Chestnut Street, died after the shooting that also injured two others, whose identities have yet to be released. An autopsy on Mrs. Smalls was to be conducted this morning, Sheriff’s Office Capt. Tom Effler said.

It is not clear whether Mrs. Smalls suffered fatal injury inside the club, or later, when a vehicle struck her car and fired rounds at her while she tried to escape, Effler said.

At first, Mrs. Smalls was able to drive away from Club Exscape, but an unknown vehicle struck her car and fired at her again, and she was struck with “several projectiles,” according to the report. Mrs. Smalls had been in “very critical” condition before she died Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Detectives still are not totally sure who will be charged in the incident, but have suspects, Effler said. “We’re still doing investigation,” he said. “And still hoping that charges will be pending.”

The captain said Sheriff’s Office detectives “have an idea” of the identity of the other two women who apparently suffered gunshot wounds. But evidence is not yet concrete enough to release their names.

Ms. Smalls was at first able to leave the club around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, after three as-yet unidentified black men “entered the business and started shooting,” according to the release.

Detectives Rick Farfour and Robert Chunn responded to the scene, taking evidence from the club, just west of Thunder Swamp Road on N.C. 55.
The club’s owner, Ricky Artis, reported the shooting, according to the report.

Kelis Rogers filed for divorce Thursday in Los Angeles. She's expecting the couple's first child in July. Documents show the couple was married in July 2003 and separated in April. Rogers is seeking to have her hip-hop husband pay her attorney's fees and spousal support.

She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

A Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge has ruled to dismiss a lawsuit against rapper Foxy Brown, stemming from a 2007 assault to which she pleaded guilty nearly a year ago, the New York Post reported earlier this week.

Dr. Dre Son's Death Ruled a Heroin Overdose

The Los Angeles coroner's office has determined that the August death of Andre Young, Jr. was due to an overdose of heroin and morphine.

The 20-year-old, born Andre Young, Jr. was found unconscious and not breathing on August 23 by his mother at the family's Woodland Hills home.

He had spent the night partying with friends. An autopsy was completed within a few days, but the cause of a death was delayed per the results of a myriad of tests, including a toxicology report.

LA coroner spokesman Larry Dietz revealed that his division has officially closed the case as an "accidental death" due to "morphine and heroin intoxication."

Since the untimely passing on his son, Dr. Dre has declined to speak on the matter, requesting that fans and media alike respect his family's need for privacy.

Queen Latifah was apparently robbed over the holidays, thieves allegedly stole over $10,000 in jewelery from her luxury villa in Tobago this week.

The actress/singer, real name Dana Owens, was holidaying at the $1,000 -per-night Stone Haven Villas in Black Rock, Tobago with a female friend when burglars struck on Monday (29Dec08).
Latifah, who checked in under the name Cynthia Hadden, reportedly returned from a barbecue brunch held in her honour by the establishment’s management to discover a bracelet, two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring were missing.

Police were called to the resort after staff security conducted a search of the estate. Police Commissioner James Philbert tells Trinidad and Tobago’s Newsday, ÒSeveral searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelery returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said “the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough.”

Teen sensation Soulja Boy was reportedly assaulted and robbed at gunpoint earlier this week.

Unconfirmed reports began circulating on New Year’s Eve that that Soulja Boy and several of his close friends were ambushed and robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night (December 30) after six men invaded the rapper’s home. Allegedly, Soulja Boy’s friend Jbar was nearly taken hostage during the robbery.

A video surfaced, the following day (December 31), of two masked men claiming responsibility for the crime. In the clip, the duo boasted of stalking Soulja Boy before the attack by attending his album release party and subsequently tailing the rapper to his home, as reported by AllHipHop.com.

The alleged thieves further described the robbery in detail. They disputed initial reports of there being six assailants armed with pistols and Ak-47s. Instead, the alleged robbers claimed the crime was carried out between them with one weapon.

The clip was initially met with skepticism by fans and media alike, however, a representative for Soulja Boy has confirmed with AllHipHop.com that an incident did take place, but the rep refused to provide any concrete details, stating only that the crime is “a serious situation.”

Bell was arrested Christmas Eve and booked on a shoplifting charge, police said Monday, Dec. 29, 2008. He was freed on $1,300 bond following his arrest at a mall in Monroe, La. He also was booked on charges of resisting arrest and simple assault.

He was one of six black teens charged with beating a white classmate at Jena High School in December 2006. The case aggravated racial tensions in the central Louisiana town and led to a massive civil rights demonstration. Bell pleaded guilty in juvenile court to a charge of second-degree battery for the self-inflicted gunshot wound.
